Neuter and Spay - Its the only Way... End Feline Overpopulation.
End Feline Overpopulation is a newly launched network of people who care passionately about the problems of feline overpopulation, feline homelessness, and feline euthanasia in shelters as a means of population control.
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THIS CAUSE & JOIN TODAY - ITS FREE
PLEASE join us if you share our determination to achieve a better world for cats. Every cat deserves a home, but those that aren't so lucky at least deserve a LIFE. (Continues below...)
We're are a very recently established network (June 1, 2011) and your support is so important. There is power in numbers. So if you care about cats, please JOIN NOW - Membership is FREE.
Simply becoming a member enables you to stand up and be counted in saying that this has got to stop. There is no more room for complacency. The manner in which cats are treated as disposable inconveniences in our communities will no longer be tolerated. When we join forces as one large group, our voices will be heard - we'll make sure of that.
We welcome compassionate cat people from anywhere in the world. We're based in Winnipeg, Canada and began this initiative to put an end to these issues in our local area, but virtually every city has this same tragic problem.
Together we can learn from each other, share information, and brain storm with one another to create solutions that will work everywhere. When we all come together in one large network and demand change, our combined voice becomes more powerful and louder than it can ever be when we all stand individually.
You can set up a group for your city or town in this network in the GROUPS section so that you can connect with other people who are committed to seeing this problem solved in YOUR local area.
When you JOIN you are taking a stand and saying you are not willing to tolerate the homelessness and killing of cats anymore.
Far too many cats are being killed every day in your city - simply because they don't have homes. In other words, because humans let them down. Are you okay with that....?
Its time to say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. We CAN make the world a better place for cats. We can do it by finally ending the cat overpopulation problem at the root cause and by putting an end to the killing of cats for population control. That approach is the easy way out, and its unacceptable. We all need to come together and send the message that this will no longer be tolerated in our communities.
Aggressive, effective spay and neuter programs are a huge part of the answer. This is doable. Its not rocket science. Why isn't it being done effectively - everywhere?
When people who care about a cause ban together to make their voice heard, mountains can be moved.
All you need to do is to sign up as a member to show you support this cause - its completely free. Together we can make a difference for the most vulnerable among us - our very deserving feline friends who are dependent on us for their well being. Simply joining the network as a show of your support will help make our vision more attainable.
For this mission to be successful, WE NEED YOU to JOIN NOW.
If you're ALREADY involved in the no-kill movement in your local area, we need you here. Please join the network - we can learn from you, and you might be able to learn from someone else. Its time for a world-wide meeting of the minds to finally do away with this senseless problem.
Human beings have solved much more insurmountable problems. We already know the solution, we simply need to find effective ways to implement it.
By sharing all of our ideas, experiences, drive and determination we can change the world for cats. We owe them that. We simply can not allow this travesty to continue.
If you care about cats, please stand up and be counted - become a member of the network now. It costs you absolutely nothing.
Everyone who shares the vision to end feline overpopulation and the killing of cats is welcome to start a free blog here and upload photos and videos.
We especially welcome shelter managers, rescuers, and fosters to make use of our free blogs and photo/video galleries to get your message out, upload photos of your adoptable cats (or of some of your success stories), promote your shelter, share your thoughts, ideas, knowledge and experience. Also please feel free to start your own group or join a group.
You can also list any events you have coming up related to feline rescue.
And of course, spread the word to your mailing lists, and invite your friends and contacts to join the network as well. There IS power in numbers.
Lets create one huge mastermind group committed to ending these problems. Then just watch what we can do when we ALL come together.....

I was very saddened and discouraged this week to learn that the city of Winnipeg (where I am located) turned down the application of Nancy Swaine to shelter 23 rescued cats in her home. Ms. Swaine had been given a temporary approval to keep the cats on the premises for the last couple of years, but (baseless) complaints from neighbors ultimately forced the city to order the cats gone. The cats were kept indoors and health inspectors and air quality inspectors confirmed the premises were very…
